Lazy Little Bitch

Trifecta Week Sixty:
Idle: 3: a: shiftless, lazy
b: having no evident lawful means of support

I was a bit intimidated by this prompt. I don't know why. Possibly is was because I was so energetically creative that I was afraid of "idle" being anywhere in the atmosphere. Ah, the best laid plans...

The pajamas remain, daytime TV tuned in
Chips and soda, brownies and cigarettes
Animals curled ‘round about in solidarity
Sunlight glares through crystallized windows
Vitamin D blossoms useless yet welcome
The joyful execution of unexpected inspiration
Satiated to overflowing and now requires rest
Senses to settle and gather to burst forth again
Creatively drained, artistically hung-over

Or, viewed from outside, shiftless idleness
Yes, that’s one lazy little bitch

  1. I often begrudged my dog's ability to drop down in a corner of sunshiney carpet at a moments notice ... such a luxury!

    1. Or to just disappear and find him curled up in the bed with his head all snuggled on my pillows. Ah, yes!

  2. The end line made me laugh. Whether idleness is good or bad really all depends on context, doesn't it?

  3. Artistically hung over... I like that..This is similar to yoga. Sometimes someone peering in the window at us in a pose that seems like we're just hanging out wouldn't have any idea of the work involved.

  4. I like the phrase "artistically hung over". I guess we can have too much of a good thing!

  5. Your writing is very clever but the pic is worth 1000 words (as silly as that sounds).

    1. Thx. I normally have trouble choosing pics but this won't popped right up when googling "lazy." Perfect fit.

  7. I love the line, "Vitamin D blossoms useless yet welcome"

It is great to just sit back and relax after a day of hard work, it feels so rewarding with no guilt tugging at your insides!
