I've haven't written first thing in the morning in a very long time. Plus, I've not been too all very mindful lately. A piece written on my favorite site, Writing Our Way Home, inspired me and awakened the moment I'd not been present enough to enjoy initially. Thankfully, our soul absorbs those moments and holds them for us until we're ready.
This morning the opening discussion post of Writing Our Way Home was from a lovely woman sharing the imagery of her home in Malvern, Worcestershire, UK. There was a response from another about all the snow in Pennsylvania. They inspired me to take notice of my landscape.
In the Calm of the Storm Early morning doggie stroll in still, warm air broke away to tornado winds, blackened skies, and torrential rains atop this mountain. Windows opened during the calm, quickly shut as the storm arrived. Obviously won't make it to the library today so will need to go through my own for something to curl with beneath the blanket while the storms heads on.
Come, let me take you on a tour of my lush solitude full of humming bees, cawing crows, chirping crickets, and pattering of raindrops the rustle the leaves.
